I don't know of any psychological research, but it would be a neat follow-up to this study.Annanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6451967208270832502.post-18966477839527822012011-10-19T00:39:55.374-07:002011-10-19T00:39:55.374-07:00I wonder if how much you identify with the book...I wonder if how much you identify with the book's characters is related to the type of pronouns used-- first-person versus third. Be interesting to find out if it makes any differents in the strength of the subconscious identification.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6451967208270832502.post-21935369685064306462011-10-17T17:05:03.996-07:002011-10-17T17:05:03.996-07:00I can see the Hermione resemblance Dana!

Also - if you haven't read The Hunger Games, that's a great series to "lose" yourself in, plus a movie is coming out in March! I become really invested in any book when I can relate to the main character in some way, or "envision" myself living in his/her world, be it Harry Potter, Bella, Hermione, Pip from Great Expectations, etc. I guess that's what makes reading so wonderful.Danahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17313051193597859269noreply@blogger.com
